Golden Milk

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk (can use cow’s milk, almond milk, coconut milk, or any other milk of your choice)

  • 1 tsp of turmeric powder or 1 tsp of fresh grated turmeric

  • ½ tsp of cinnamon powder

  • 1 pinch of black pepper

  • 1 tsp of honey (optional)

  • 1 tsp of fresh grated ginger (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, add 2 cups of milk and bring it to a low simmer.

  2. Add 1 tsp of turmeric powder, ½ tsp of cinnamon powder, and a pinch of black pepper to the milk.

  3. If using, add 1 tsp of grated ginger to the milk.

  4. Stir the mixture well and let it simmer on low heat for about 5-10 minutes.

  5. Add 1 tsp of honey to the milk, if desired, and stir well.

  6. Once the mixture is well heated and the spices have infused with the milk, remove the saucepan from the heat.

  7. Pour the golden milk into a cup, using a fine mesh strainer to remove any ginger or spice remnants.
